Patagonia is a mythical and captivating place that welcomes you to one of the latest unexplored sites in southern nature. A vast region of South America that extends through Chile and Argentina, where the nature continues to govern in its most primitive and exalted version. Hacienda Tres Lagos is located in the northern part of the Chilean Patagonia, in the Aysén Region. The Hotel is situated in the middle of a virgin and breathtaking landscape, between ancient forests, turbulent rivers, snow-capped mountains and emerald-colored lakes, among General Carrera, Bertrand and Negro Lakes. Along the multi-faceted Austral Road (Carretera Austral), we experience the many different landscapes, such as the Dead Forest, an area which was destroyed by the ashes of the volcano Hudson but that is precisely through these ashes that the earth is renewed and enriched with minerals and offers the best conditions to develop a new flora and fauna.
In this region, and thanks to the northern ice fields, new rivers and lakes are born, which are among the most important fresh water reserves in the world. All of these landscapes will accompany you until your arrival to Hacienda Tres Lagos at the kilometer 274 of the Southern Road/ This is a privileged location between the General Carrera, Bertrand and Negro lakes; a strategic place to see and explore the great attractions that gives the surrounding area.
The easiest way to reach this part of Patagonia is by plane, to the only commercial airport of the region XI, Balmaceda. The airport is at 54 kilometers from Coyhaique, the main city and capital of the Aysén Region. From Santiago, leave daily flights of the two national airlines, LAN and Sky Airlines. A direct flight from Santiago to Balmaceda lasts for approximately 2 hours. It is highly recommended to book the first flight of the morning, without scales, as the journey from the airport to the Hacienda will have a duration of 5 hours approx.
